Aljazeera English TV launches

November 15th, 2006

The Arab TV network, Aljazeera, has today launched their English language television broadcasts. Evidently, one can try it for free here.

Watch their first broadcast:

I, for one, wish them swell. I hope they will continue offending the powers-that-be by telling the truths that others suppress.

It is time for Arab media to stop talking to themselves, while western media speaks on for & about them. So much have miss-quoted, miss understood miss reported. Now something objective can correct many odd images that been deliberately & intentionally or unintentionally reflected to the outside world. We got sick of repeated stereotyping images of the Arab Worlds.
Good & very good for Aljazeera & arab media
