It has been reported that Davies has contacted Dr.Talib Rammahi the Director of ICMS on Saturday the 17th Feb.2007 at 09:19 and urged him to withdraw his comments that discredit the authenticity of her Documentary film. Furthermore, she said that Channel 4 may take a legal action against him, if he does not comply. During the conversation Mr Rammahi has maintained that the report contains many contradictions and a lot of false information, as she relied on people who have no credibility especially the Iraqi MP Mr Mohammed al Daini. Dr. Rammahi has already challenged the credibility of the film on his appearance in the Al Jazeera Arabic Channel on Tuesday the 6th Feb. 2007. In addition two reports were published on the New Iraq Centre for Media and Studies website uncovered the untrue information of the Iraq’s Death Squads documentary, as well as the lies of many individuals who were shown in the report. ICMS considers that despite living in a democratic and civilised society, the call of Ms. Davies is an assault on the freedom of expression, unprofessional behavior and holds unpleasant intention. Nevertheless, the United Kingdom ’s Law does not tolerate such offensive act as it is a liability. Not to mention that this report could have a provocative act and retaliation by Sunni extremists in the U.K against peace loving and law abiding Shi’a Community. This biased Film contains false information such as: 1- The film shows photos of victims claiming that they were Sunnis, while the victims are totally Shi’a Muslims who were kidnapped by the Sunni Terrorist group in Diala City . And we have a witness who survived the carnage. 2- Ms. Deborah interviewed three persons claiming that they were advisors to Mr Baqer Jabur Al Zubaidi, the former interior minister. The fact is that only one person was advisor to the minister and other two were drivers. 3- The channel 4 reporter misinformed the viewers by depending on documents provided by the Iraqi Sunni MP Mr Mohammed Al Daini. This person who was Ms. Davies’ host throughout her presence in Iraq has fabricated many documents that were shown in the Film. 4- The report has accused the Ex. interior minister Mr Baqer Jabur Al Zubaidi with no credible proofs. The ICMS is in acquisition of many documents which expose the false nature of this film. Therefore, this Centre has the right to sue the English Channel 4 for its grave mistakes that caused immense damages among the Iraqi nation. Further, demands an apology to the Iraqi Nation and to compensate the families of the victims.
