Boston Legal this week dealt with Guantanamo. Youtube has a discussion of the issues:

But the best is the Concluding Summation, which I can’t find on Youtube, so I can’t embed it. But you can go watch it on Crooks and Liars.

Great stuff. Sometimes, you have to be glad that there are some liberal left-wingers left in Hollywood.

Aside from Mr. Soldz’ blog, his recent article on Z-net ‘Strong support for torture among US military in Iraq: A corollary of occupation’ @ http://www.zmag.org/content/showarticle.cfm?SectionID=80&ItemID=12810 directs readers to the Army Interrogation Field Manual indicating ‘…under the guise of separating detainees from others with whom they might share information, the AFM allows prolonged isolation. And the manual allows the exploitation of a detainees fears, which can easily extend to abuse.’

One might think exagerating well-founded guidelines for appropriate interrogations into maliciousness would be indicative of what military analysts call ‘cowardice’ rather than professionalism of a psychoanalyst, psychologist or researcher. Assuredly, I wish to exploit Mr. Soldz’ fear of being exposed under the guise of mental abuse.

Brilliant . . . sending to my so-called democratic rep and senator right now.
