That is, what sort of training could possibly save you from breaking down under this kind of torture. I ask this because: 1) One of the BushCo justifications for not revealing the methods of interrogation incourt records and legislation, etc., is that it would give enemies a chance to prepare, and 2) If SERE cannot possibly achieve its stated goal, then it becomes clear that its purpose is otherwise than stated.
