		<description>I'm  struck by the addition of  "working on behalf of the U.S. Government," as if doing so conveys a certain sanctity to whatever these mysterious, not military, psychologists do.  The addition reveals the close affiliation Behnke feels with the US government.</description>

		<description>As one who listened to the APA testimony at the January 14, 2008, CA State Senate hearing for the Ridley-Thomas Resolution, I am sorry to report that the amendments submitted to the Resolution were very little mentioned in the testimony.  The emphasis was on the APA's opposition to torture, not on the APA's efforts to retain the rights of psychologists to participate in interrogations, with no attention to institutional and career pressures on those psychologists.</description>
