TV was also impossible.
Actually... so was radio.
Air-travel of any kind.
The use of medicine.
The invention of the wheel.

“The concept that you could have a wave-particle duality – that an object could take on either wave-like properties or point-like properties, depending on how you observe it – takes a huge leap of imagination,” says Roberto Roser, a scientist at Fermilab. “Sometimes outlandish papers turn out to be the laws of physics.”

I love it! Thanks for posting this here.

The interdependence of all things is only a surprise after you've presumed "things" into existence, like shattering a windshield and calling the intersections of the cracks "things," then wondering where they came from. From this Zen Buddhist's perspective, the universe of orthodox Western science is infinitely cracked.

Take, for example, this sentence from the heart of the Heart Sutra: "All dharmas are sunyata." WTF? Take those words back to their roots, and it sounds like this: "All holding or carrying is essentially self-emptying." Sound familiar?

This fundamental condition of being is self-evident every time we use a word or pour a cup of coffee.

Neuronal models of stimuli (as described by Yevgeny Sokolov) are the self-emptying vessels of mind, into which experience is pouring; from which awareness is arising like steam; and out of which behavior is flowing like water.

So, I am solidly striking these keys, and I am fluidly pouring my thoughts into these self-emptying vessels, these words and the spaces between, passing them over to you, where you solidly hear this unspoken voice we share.
