Ba'th comments on Bush- Kerry Debate: "Regardless of elections results, We shall fight until the end of occupation"

>Iraqi nationalist websites posted a statement by the Ba'th party commenting on the recent debate between President Bush and Democrat nominee John Kerry. The Ba'th party said the rapidly deepening crisis of the United States in Iraq under the Republican administration would be inherited by the Democrats if they win the elections and decline to pull out.

It added : "The Ba'th party and Iraqi Resistance Movement, since the US occupation of Iraq 17 months ago have been fighting to destroy the US military, economic, political and intelligence presence in Iraq and will continue to do this legitimate task, regardless of the result of US presidential elections, until the total end of American occupation with all its forms , formulas and outcome ." The statement referred to Bush's admission that " Ba'thists and Saddam's loyalists had disappeared only to reappear and fight US forces" by saying that this was a plan designed by President Saddam who realized the absolute superiority of US and allies' armies in a conventional war.

Ba'th and Resistance reject conference on Iraq

Ba'th party ,in a statement denounced the US proposal to hold a so-called International conference in Cairo on Iraq dismissing it as yet another futile attempt along the trial and error line adopted by the US occupation administration since it was surprised by the rapidly growing deadly power and long-term preparations of Iraqi resistance.

"The proposed conference is designed to extend support to US occupation-dominated and programmed elections early next year," explained the statement adding that there is no way out of this rapidly widening impasse but completely withdrawing militarily, economically and politically from Iraq.

"All attempts and measures taken by the United States unilaterally or through the United Nations after Iraq occupation, the last of which being the invitation to this conference ,will never change the fact that the United States is an aggressor, occupying country that has been violating international law and legitimacy. On this basis, Iraqi resistance has been dealing and will continue to deal with it with the aim of destroying and humiliating its occupying forces and its military, political, economic and intelligence interests in Iraq.

"Therefore, Ba'th and resistance leadership call on the US administration to pull out its forces from Iraq unconditionally in accordance with a timetable to be completed with the end of next November. The pull out should be effected in aerial and ground routs through Kadhima (Kuwait) .The United States must officially admit the illegal nature of its aggression and occupation together with all that it had brought about. It must also call for an international conference to compensate Iraq for the huge losses and destruction it has sustained as a result of US-led aggression and occupation. "If the US administration accepts this offer, being the only way out of its deadly impasse in Iraq, it has to negotiate it with the captive legitimate Iraqi leadership in the forefront of which is President Saddam Hussein."
